1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Prayer Key ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Subscription & Billing

Prayer Key offers auto-renewing subscriptions (annual and monthly plans):

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price as the current subscription.
• A 7-day free trial is available for the annual plan for new subscribers. Your Apple ID will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the annual subscription price.
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

3. Use of the App

Prayer Key is a personal spiritual tool. You agree to use it only for lawful personal purposes. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure.

4. AI-Generated Content

Prayer Key uses AI to generate prayer text. AI-generated prayers are provided for personal spiritual use only. We do not guarantee the theological accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific situation. Always exercise your own judgment and faith when using generated prayers.

5. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, and code are the property of Nikita Raikov. The Bible translations included in the App (KJV, RV1960, Synodal) are in the public domain. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the App without written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Use of the App is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nikita Raikov shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the developer's country of residence.

Overview

Prayer Key ("we", "our", or "the app") is a spiritual habit app that helps you build a daily prayer practice. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data stored on your device

All personal data is stored locally on your device only. We do not operate servers that store your personal information. This includes:

• Your prayer sessions and generated prayers
• Mood and spiritual well-being ratings
• Your prayer streak and statistics
• Prayer needs — titles, descriptions, and answered prayer stories you write
• Profile information you enter during onboarding (name, age group, gender, denomination, spiritual goals, obstacles to faith, and personal struggles)
• Bible bookmarks, highlights, and notes
• App settings and preferences

If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently deleted from your device.

AI prayer generation

When you use AI-powered prayer generation, the app sends data to our secure proxy server. The exact data depends on which feature you use:

Standard prayer session — the following anonymised profile context is sent:

• Your current mood rating (a number from 1–6)
• Your current relationship-with-God rating (a number from 1–6)
• Anonymised profile context: age group, gender, denomination, prayer frequency, spiritual goals, faith vision, obstacles to faith, and personal struggles (which may include sensitive categories such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, or addiction — selected by you during onboarding)
• Language preference

Custom prayer — in addition to mood and basic profile (gender, age, denomination), the exact text you type as your prayer request is sent verbatim to DeepSeek AI.

Prayer need prayer — the title, description, and any current update you have written for a specific prayer need are sent verbatim to DeepSeek AI. Write only what you are comfortable sharing with an external AI service.

Your name is never included in these requests. No account or contact information is transmitted.

All requests are routed through our Cloudflare Workers proxy, which forwards them to DeepSeek AI to generate the prayer text. Neither our proxy nor DeepSeek stores this data after the request is complete.

DeepSeek is a company based in China. Data sent for prayer generation is processed under their privacy policy and applicable Chinese law.

Third-party services

• Cloudflare Workers — routes AI requests. Processes data in transit only; does not store personal data. Privacy policy
• DeepSeek AI — generates prayer text based on your anonymised profile and mood. Based in China. Privacy policy

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any contact information on our servers
• We do not track your location
• We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs
• We do not sell your data
• We do not require account registration

Data shared with DeepSeek AI is used solely to generate your prayer and is not retained by us or sold to any party.

Push notifications

The app may send local push notifications to remind you to pray or pray for your saved prayer needs. These are scheduled entirely on your device — no data leaves your device for this feature. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.

Sensitive personal information

During onboarding you may select personal struggles from a predefined list (e.g. anxiety, depression, loneliness, addiction). These selections are stored locally on your device and, if provided, are sent anonymously to DeepSeek AI as part of prayer generation to make prayers more relevant to your situation. This information is never linked to your identity and is not retained after the prayer is generated.

You provide explicit consent to this during onboarding before the app becomes active. You may reset your profile data at any time via Settings → Reset All Data.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Right to erasure — all personal data is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings, or by uninstalling the app. Data transiently processed by DeepSeek is not retained post-request.
• Right to withdraw consent — you provided consent to AI data processing during onboarding. To withdraw it, stop using AI prayer generation features or reset your data via Settings.
• Right to information — this privacy policy serves as your disclosure of how your data is used.

Data deletion

Prayer Key: Christian Focus — developed by Nikita Raikov.

All your data is stored exclusively on your device. We do not hold any of your data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

To delete all your data immediately:

• Open the app
• Go to Settings (bottom tab)
• Scroll to the bottom and tap "Reset All Data"
• Confirm in the dialog — all data is deleted instantly

This permanently removes: all prayer sessions, prayer needs, mood check-ins, your profile (age, denomination, goals, struggles), and all app settings.

Alternatively, uninstalling the app from your device deletes all data completely.

Data sent to DeepSeek AI for prayer generation is not stored by us or by DeepSeek after the request completes — there is nothing to delete on that end.

Children's privacy

Prayer Key is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
